Correct! Tullio was born in a house situated in Castello (Venice) at n°2486.
His father was Vittorio Romanin, 33 yo, mechanician, residing in Venice and his mother was a not mentioned unmarried woman.
It isn't written about a late recognition...
Royal Clerk? What was that exactly?
I think he was an employee of the Imperial Royal Government of Venice, we don't know in which sector...maybe state property, customs...

Interesting....
So I have decided to take a break from birth records and try death records. I cannot make heads or tales of what I am looking at and there seems to be 3 different types of records? But I would appreciate help in learning how to read the death records...
So I came across this one for Carlo Canziani and I can see his parents names so I know he is a confirmed family member. But can you please translate the rest for me so I can get a feel for the records? I see the name Regina Pitteri but does it say who that is?

Thank you!

Thank you... I hate when I confirm a family member only to see they died as an infant. Heart breaking.
This one is Angelo Poletto, but again, not sure how to read these.

Thank you Erica! That gives me an idea of where to find the date of death.
And I thought you might find this interesting. Someone in a Facebook group I belong to posted a list of well known names of Jewish Italian families, and Romanin is on the list. No idea!

And I thought you might find this interesting.
Yes, I put my knowledge of the English language to the test.
The Romanin were bankers in San Vito al Tagliamento already at the end of '500, I've found something about this Jewish family here:

You are incredible!! I need to find someone to translate this for me. But I can see that it appears that the Romanins and The Luzzattos were connected even that far back. Seems to start supporting what my mother had been told all those many years ago. I wish she were alive for me to tell her.

Hi,
is this your genealogical tree?
http://www.geni.com/people/Bice-Rosina- ... 3175545193
I've found what happened to Mario Romanin, son of Guido and Ermenegilda Luzzatto:

Mario Romanin married Elena Ottolenghi (daughter of Silvio, a photographer) on September 3 1933 in Turin and they lived in Via Lagrange at n°34.
On October 13 1938 in Turin was born their daughter Miriam.
In 1943 the family moved to Milan, where Mario thought there was less risk of being recognized as Jews.
They rented an apartment in Corso XXII Marzo and immediately began looking fo false documents.
They changed name to Rossi and Mario found a job in the insurance company called Assicurazioni Generali.
In 1944 the furniture of their home in Turin were seized.
One day of Febraury in 1945 he was stopped in Piazza Duomo and was taken to the German command at Hotel Regina.
He was locked in a cell for 7 days and suffered heavy interrogation, in order to coerce him to reveal where his family was hiding.
His family was temporarily in an apartment in Piazza Grandi, without food, and when Elena came back to take the cards (tessere annonarie) in the other apartment she and her daughter were captured and taken to the S. Vittore prison, the next day Germans brought there the rest of the family.
They remained there about 3 months and on April 25 1945 they were released.
