I'm looking for this birth certificate : Fortunato DEGL'INNOCENTI born on January 29th 1817 in Firenze (or maybe in Pistoia) ; I tried to find it on this site but not found :

I've found this baptism in the baptismal register of the Florence Baptistery :

21st January 1817
Degl'Innocenti Affortunato,
godmother = Rosa daughter of Gaetano Nardini
baptized "sub conditione" = baptism imparted in the doubt that there has not previously been an analogous rite, or a similar valid rite, or in the uncertainty that the individual to whom it is administered is in a position to receive it.

He's a child of unknown parents, because the name of the parents is not reported, and Degl'Innocenti is a typical surname given to foundlings.

Sorry that I haven't yet uploaded the marriage certificate, as the corsica archive on line is unavailable since several hours this afternoon...

So if I understand well there's no way to find who were his parents.

Something strange : there're two other babies whose name is Degl'Innocenti, born on same day, same "parrochia", and unknown parents (order nr. 119 and 121) : is it reasonable to think that they can be 3 brothers ?

no they aren't brothers.
This surname is given to all the foundlings taken to the orphanage "Istituto degli Innocenti" of Florence.

You can request his dossier to the historical archive of the above-mentioned institute, giving all the data you have :

I tre Degl'Innocenti sono fratelli, a quanto risulta dalla paternità e dalla maternità.
Figli di SETTIMIO; sarto e di ANGELI MADDALENA cucitrice, quindi non credo proprio sia l'Affortunato, che state cercando.

So you think that the one born on Jan. 21st from unknown parents is not the one that I'm looking for, but I don't understand why ? It is true that in the marriage certificate it is indicated that he's born on Jan. 29th, but it is also indicated that he's from unknown parents.

Therefore can you let me know how you found that he's from SETTIMIO and ANGELI MADDALENA cucitrice, and how you can state that the 3 Degl'Innocenti are brothers actually ? Can you show me their birth certificates please ?

L'ho visto dall'atto di nascita, che ti ha messo Nico 29, sempre in questa discussione, poco sopra.
IO non so scrivere bene in inglese e quindi dovrai usare il traduttore
Ci sono 3 DEGL' INNOCENTI, nati nello stesso giorno, gemelli e figli delle stesse persone.
Se guardi la seconda pagina dell'atto vedrai scritti i nomi dei genitori e la loro professione

La Parrocchia è quella di Sant'Ambrogio per tutti e tre i bimbi

And if I understand well when it is written " it means that the information is not available, or when the information is common to several lines it is written "idem".

Non credo proprio che fossero 3 gemelli; secondo me la persona che redigeva i registri era particolarmente ordinata e metteva le virgolette anche nei campi dei genitori per gusto estetico; ai tempi i neonati venivano portati fisicamente per la registrazione, sicché ogni parrocchia quando ne aveva 3/4 nati lo stesso giorno mandava un incaricato per fare la denuncia. A differenza di altre città, i figli di genitori ignoti erano chiamati TUTTI Degl'Innocenti e così facendo li si individua subito. Quando farai la richiesta ricordati di trascrivere con PRECISIONE tutti i dati in tuo possesso compresi il nome della parrocchia (SANT'AMBROGIO), il nome AFFORTUNATO (forma arcaica di FORTUNATO), Il numero progressivo del registro delle nascite del 1817(120) e la data che hanno messo a Firenze (21 gennaio 1817).
