Searching baptismal record of Jaques Vacarezza in Santa Maria, Monticelli, Liguria

Good morning,
I am searching the baptismal record of Jaques Vacarezza (maybe Jacomo Vaccarezza). He was baptised in about 1732 in the Santa Maria parish in Monticelli (Cogorno), Liguria. Originally he was a sailor, but in 1771 he was registered in Dunkirk, France as a traveling musician. He traveled through France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
I have found a number of men with similar last names who were either registered as traveling musicians or as vagrants in France, England, Belgium and the Netherlands. They all seem to lead back to the area of Genova, but not necessarily to Monticelli. So, I don't know if there is any family relationship between these men. Earliest records are late 1700s and early 1800s. Because the last name is so alien to Dutch people the spelling has been recorded in a million different ways.
The last name has now disappeared from The Netherlands and most likely from Belgium too. Vacaresse is frequently occurring name in France, especially in Paris, but I have not been able to establish a link there with the Genova area.
So, are the church records for Santa Maria still kept in the parish church, or have they been moved to a diocesan archive?
And is there any hope there will be digital image of the baptisms available?
Thanks, Michaël
