Thanks so much for all of this new information! The only record that does not fit is Giuseppe's death record. He was my grandfather, and was still alive after 1904, because his son, my father was born in 1906. His wife's name was Angela Guerra and he was born in Fiume Veneto.
If I can find out the parent's of Giovanni Rosset and his wife Angela Moras, I will have 7 generations of Italian ancestry to hand down to my granddaughter, who is almost 5 yrs old!

Just one year ago, I did not even know the names of my father's parents in Italy. Now, thanks to the kindness of many people, I have translations to documents I found as well as new documents with translations that you found for me. My mind and heart are full and even though I am 68 yo, I think I need to learn to read Italian!

That death record for Giuseppe Rosset is not about your grandfather but your great great grandfather. (Again, Giuseppe, not Giovanni, I had misread it the first time, see the messages, I corrected myself a few messages ago).meadescope ha scritto:Thanks so much for all of this new information! It goes like this:
Rosset Domenico + Piccinin Maria
- their son Rosset Giuseppe (b. abt 1824-d. 1904) + wife Moras Angela
-- their son Rosset Domenico (b. 1856) + wife Boscariol Regina
--- their son Rosset Giuseppe (b. 1877) + wife Guerra Angela
I couldn't find Angela Moras death record, she was still alive in 1904.
then you also have:
Boscariol Bortolo (b abt 1750) + wife Mascherin Antonia (b abt 1753)
- their son Boscariol Giovanni Giacomo (b 1780) + wife Santa Mio (b 1885)
-- their son Boscariol Marco (b 1811- d 1889) + wife Morassut Santa ( b abt 1816 - d 1881)
--- their daughter Boscariol Regina + husband Rosset Domenico
hope it's clearer now.

Thanks, dgionco for the suggestions. When I started on this journey last year, I did write to the Commune Azzano Decimo for my father's birth record and that's how I found my granparents names. They also gave me the names and birth dates of his siblings and I found the birth records of all but two of them(one born in 1912 and one born in 1915). My father and two of his brothers emigrated to Brazil, then Argentina. Then, my father came to the United States. One of my cousins daughters in Argentina found me on this site and she has since sent me pictures of my grandparents, Giuseppe and Angela Guerra. My cousins in Argentina did not know their ancestry, either. So, many thanks....this site has enlightened our lives.
